| A "war baby". My first steps in photography were a darkroom in an old wardrobe when I was 10. I left school at 15 to work as a foot messenger in the oldest press agency in Fleet Street . I entered the magical atmosphere of a darkroom at 16. I formed my own photographic company in Mayfair at 32, and stayed processing until I retired at 55 I have witnessed the progression of photography from glass plates through film to digital. I am now well hooked on digital photography and the manipulation programs, especially Photoshop. I now live in Dorset with my partner and dog, using my camera nearly every day. I am still learning so please excuse my many failures. |

Also thanks for the competition vote, it is much appreciated. I will know when I return in December whether I have been successful.

I am enthralled by your work and mesmorized by the ethereal nature of your compostions. I'm not technically trained in photography but I have logged tens of thousands of hours viewing photographs. I find your work to be very impressive. I am truly thankful I stumble-surfed my way here. You got my vote in the National Trust competition. Good luck.
Cheers,
